The Columbia, South Carolina native trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts before building a Hollywood career working alongside Oscar winners Helen Hunt and John C. Reilly, among other A-list talents, including Val Kilmer. Griffin’s credits include a series regular role on NBC's Game of Your Life, starring in CW Streaming's Beerfest: Thirst for Victory, and his critically acclaimed performance in Love Is All You Need?, which led to an NPR collaboration and national speaking tour.
An entrepreneur as well as an actor, Griffin is the founder and CEO of Brainworks Team, a company focused on leadership and performance strategy.
Beyond entertainment, Griffin has emerged as a respected political voice, serving as a national surrogate for Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris. From touring North Carolina for the Biden campaign alongside musician and actor Common during COVID to speaking with Stacey Abrams at the Georgia State Capitol, he has addressed audiences nationwide. Recent speaking engagements include the Victory Fund and Democratic Mayors Association at the 2024 DNC, where he emphasized the importance of representation and civic leadership.
His debut memoir, The Story of You: A Life Rewritten (Koehler Books, February 2026), transforms personal experience into universal frameworks for resilience and reinvention.
